Last week we looked at “Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness…” In quick review, we realize our brokenness and inability to save ourselves, mourn over our sin, submit ourselves to God, and hunger and thirst for His righteousness. After that, we begin living a life that reflects His character, which is what we will start looking at today.
This week we are looking at Matthew 5:7.
“Blessed are the merciful, for they shall receive mercy.” — Matthew 5:7
What does it mean to be merciful?
What is mercy? It is showing compassion and forgiveness. Mercy is not giving someone what they deserve.
