This week we are looking at Matthew 5:5.
“Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth.” – Matthew 5:5
What does it mean to be meek?
The Jews were no doubt confused when they heard Jesus say this. At the time, they were living under the Roman Empire, and they thought the Messiah was going to come in and free them and make them their own independent nation. Instead, He says, “blessed are the meek.”
