After Moses killed the Egyptian, Pharaoh tried to kill Moses, so Moses fled. He settled in the land of Midian, where he lived with the priest of Midian and married one of his seven daughters (Exodus 2:15-21).
Moses became a shepherd over his father-in-law’s flock near Horeb (also called Mt. Sinai), the mountain of God (Exodus 3:1). Why is this important?
